GunSpin is a physics-based arcade shooter game that uses explosive recoil as the sole propulsion source for weapons. Instead of aiming at enemies, you must calculate the angle of rotation of the gun barrel so that each trigger pull sends the gun as far as possible. The combination of click timing, rotation rhythm, and resource allocation tactics creates a thrilling angle-based aiming challenge.
At the start, the gun rests stationary on the ground. The opening shot acts as a trigger, launching the weapon into the air and initiating a continuous self-rotating cycle.
Limited ammunition capacity makes continuous firing the main reason for failure. When the gun is in midair, you must watch the angle of the barrel, not press by inertia. The best time to pull the trigger is when the barrel is tilted back at around forty-five degrees, converting all the recoil into forward thrust and maintaining altitude. If you pull the trigger with the barrel pointing up or down, the recoil will allow the gun to fall freely. You can also actively hit ammo boxes along your flight path, which will extend your range and replenish your ammo.
Your progress is based on the coins you earn after each flight section. You want to concentrate on upgrading the initial Firepower to get a good initial acceleration to help the gun over low rocky slopes. Then, to keep your speed up once you have reached higher altitudes, divide your budget evenly between Magazine and Normal Firepower. Ammunition boxes along the flight path are to be upgraded only later. As you reach higher range milestones, eighteen new weapon types will be unlocked, each with different weights, rotation speeds, and recoil.
